The newly appointed British Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, previously served as Mayor of Greater Manchester (May 2017 to June 2026). In that role he not only led the response to the staged 22 May 2017 “Manchester Arena bombing” (which took place during an Ariana Grande concert) but also met with “survivors” of the staged 2013 “Boston Marathon bombing“.
